New code beneath the Journal
Tonight I have recoded the underlying structure of the Journal. This will make the Journal even more local then before, as it was then, data was just cached in the local database, now it is permanently stored here.
As of the restructure, some parts of the Journal will end up a little bit slower than before and some parts faster. I am working on a new model to make it even faster. Unfortunately not all posts from Tumblr was being transferred due to format differences. The posts that did not make the migration are mostly photographic entries, they are still left on Tumblr though. A new link scheme is available as well, you can check it out at http://antonlindstrom.com/journal/entry/67. That entry does also sum up what I have done today.
I am now an official user of GitHub, more than before, as I just stalked repo’s that I liked. Now I use it for my own site and will use it for a couple of other projects and gists.
I have some other projects in my mind as well, a few of them includes iPhone development but other things as well. If I can find more time (and as always, money) I can be even more productive, unfortunately there is a lot of assignments and tests at the university right now. I try to climb as often as I can as well but this is sadly enough not the best place to live when you are interested in climbing.
Tomorrow is my friend Walle’s 21th birthday, wish him a happy birthday! Have a nice weekend!
